Analysis of global data provided a detailled picture of the early stages of the magmatic process occuring offshore Mayotte, without any on-site monitoring. One resonance signal (VLP) was first detected by regional stations (January 2018) before the start of the seismic crisis where volcano-tectonic events (VT) migrated upward opening a pathway for the magma to the surface, as seen on ABKAR, Kazagsthan (May-June 2018). Then, later VTs marked the progressive failure of the magma reservoir's roof. VLPs were detected with resonance fequency changes and triggered by deep VTs, which seems to link the resonnance source location to the reservoir.
